Ms. Arcangeli's French 3 class used small group think tanks and large group class discussion to determine the rules of a new tense they are learning. Students were given example sentences and had to determine the subject, verb, verb "stem", and verb "ending" to draw their conclusions. After meeting as small groups the class came together as one and brainstormed tense rules. In the past, Ms. Arcangeli taught her students the rules of each tense; this new way of diving in to the French language left students with a better understanding of phonetics and grammar. All together, the class discovered four rules this new tense followed.

PARENT DROP OFF LOOP

Picture
Parents, with the winter upon us and traffic backing up please remember there is only a three way stop at our Walton Boulevard entrance. Incoming traffic has the right of way and does not stop. Traffic flow should continue on in to the parent loop or parking lots on either side. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

RHS LIBRARY ARTICLE DATABASES

When searching for information on the web, RHS offers our students access to trustworthy, credible resources through subscription-based sites. These sites are online database collections of thousands of published magazines, journals, books, and news sources, both print and multimedia. Whether your student has a homework assignment, research project, or essay that they’re needing background information for, encourage him or her to search one of the many databases that fits their subject before going to Google or Wikipedia to find reliable, quality information sources. Download a copy of our RHS Library Article Databases sheet for web address and password information, and keep it by the computer as a reminder to make it the first place to look!
